The Frog Hopper vertical ride was introduced as a junior ride for kids.
S&S developed the downward launched tower called “Turbo Drop.”
The Double Shot was created. This combined both upward and downward launch experiences on a single ride.
The Company’s name was formally changed to S&S Worldwide, Inc.
S&S turned the industry on its side by applying the vertical pneumatic launch system to a launched roller coaster.
S&S acquired certain assets of the bankrupt Arrow Dynamics, which included Arrow’s ride patents. Our purchase of select Arrow assets allowed us to include the 4D coaster concept in our future lineup.
The Air Launch Coaster “Dodonpa” opened in Fuji-Q Highland park. Recognized by The Guinness Book of World Records as the “Fastest Roller Coaster in the World,” it was the first coaster to exceed 100mph with a 107mph launch.
