Established Tokai Rika Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in the suburbs of Nagoya City, Nishihirabashima Town. Started with 35 employees in a factory that rented part of a confectionery factory. The company name reflects the desire to do everything related to chemistry, electricity, and machinery.

Tokai Rika Co., Ltd. was established in Nishibiwajima-cho near Nagoya. With 35 employees, the company begins production by renting a portion of a candy factory as its own factory. The company name embodies the concept that the company can take on anything involving physics and chemistry (rikagaku), electricity (denki), and machinery (kikai).

Purchased new land within Nishihirabashima Town and relocated the head office. Acquired approximately 6,000 m² of land on the site of a pickled vegetable factory, and expanded and renovated the building to support business growth.

Head office moved to the present location of Oguchi-cho, Aichi prefecture. With the aim of bolstering its technology development system and creating a central hub for future management, the company acquired a property approximately 80,000m² in size in Oguchi-cho, Niwa-gun, Aichi-ken, and moved its head office to where it is today.

Western Biwajima Factory was damaged by Tokai heavy rain. Support was provided to the affected area and efforts were made to restore production at the damaged Western Biwajima Factory.

Obtained ISO 14001 certification company-wide. Achieved certification for the international environmental management standard ISO 14001.

Nishibiwajima Plant is damaged by the Tokai Flood. We provided assistance to local people suffering from this unprecedented disaster, and intensive production recovery activities were implemented at the damaged Nishibiwajima Plant.
