1929（昭和4）年に航空機用塗料の開発からスタート

1929（昭和4）年6月1日、長年航空機用塗料の研究を続けてきた仲西他七によって、日本特殊塗料合資会社として設立されました。最初の製品は航空機用塗料「T・T（テー・テー）金属用塗料」

Nittoku was established as a limited partnership company on June 1, 1929, by the late Tashichi Nakanishi, who carried out extensive research on paints suitable for aircraft. The company's first product was its TT METAL PAINT, designed for use on the aircraft body.

Along with this growth in demand, the company was reorganized in 1936, from a limited partnership to its current stock company structure.

In January 1948, however, the company resumed activity by leasing out the Tokyo Plant and Kyushu Plant, which had miraculously survived the war unscathed.

1950年1月、二つの工場が本社と再統合され、会社再建の大きな目的の下で行われた。

1953（昭和28）年に開発した防音塗料「ニットク・アンダーシール」

In 1953, the NITTOKU-UNDERSEAL automotive soundproof and rust-proof coating was developed.

The development and launch of this product in 1953 marked Nittoku's first step as a manufacturer of soundproofing materials.

Nittoku built the Aichi Plant in 1960.

1961（昭和36）年に東証第二部に上場

Having made a new start in the fields of color and sound, Nittoku was listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 1961.

1964年に上市した自動車用制振材「メルシート」

The material was marketed in 1964 as vibration-damping sheets for automobiles under the name MELSHEET.

Nittoku built the Hiratsuka Plant (relocated Tokyo Plant) in 1965.

1966（昭和41）年の屋根用塗膜防水材「プルーフロン」

The company introduced its PROOFLON waterproof roof coating in 1966.

In 1967, Nittoku signed a technology agreement with Matec Holding AG (presently Autoneum Holding AG, former Rieter Automotive Systems), a leading manufacturer of soundproofing materials based in Switzerland, for the production of the TACA and TACAPOR sound-absorbing and sound-insulating materials.

Nittoku built the Hiroshima Plant in 1968.

Nittoku built the Shizuoka Plant in 1969.

1973年の塗り床材・舗装材「ユータック」シリーズ

1973年にU-TACKシリーズの床コーティング製品が発売された。

1982年に米国のProtective Treatments, Inc.（現在のEFTEC）と自動車用抗チップコーティングおよび塗料の製造に関するクロスライセンス契約を締結して以来、日東は海外技術を日本に導入する活動を行ってきた。

1983年開発の超高弾性壁面防水化粧材「ハイプルーフ」

1984年、全国各地の有力な施工業者・販売店で責任・施工システムの「全国ハイプルーフ連合会」を結成

1984（昭和59）年、アメリカ・シカゴ市近郊に最初の現地法人・Uni-NTF社を設立

Nittoku teamed up with leading Japanese construction companies and retailers to form the National HI-PROOF Association in 1984.

These technologies include the aircraft coating production know-how of U.S.-based Deft, Inc. in 1984.

1986年には、このUni-NTF社を母体に、グローブ・インダストリーズ社（現リエタ・オートモーティブ・ノースアメリカ社）との間で、合弁会社・UGN社を設立

1987年、九州工場は福岡県久留米市から佐賀県宮崎町へ移転した。

Technology introduced through the cross-license agreement with Ems-Togo Holding AG (now EFTEC) in Switzerland in 1988 for the production of automotive rust-proof and protective coatings.

1991（平成3）年には念願の東証一部上場を果たしました

In 1991, the company achieved its longstanding goal of being listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

1991年、会社は福岡県由良市に東九州工場を建設した。

In 1991, the company constructed its R&D Center.

1994（平成6）年には「ニットク・アメニティシステム連合会」に改称

1994（平成6）年、タイのサミット・オート・シート・インダストリー社との合弁会社・SNCサウンドプルーフ社を設立

This then became the Nittoku Amenity System Association in 1994, which began handling the entire range of Nittoku products.

1995年には、当社の特約店組織である各地の「日特会」を総結集した「全国日特会」が発足

In 1995, Nittoku dealers, in nationwide Nittoku Groups, established the National Nittoku Society.

1997（平成9）年の愛知工場を最初に、2001年までに全事業所が認証取得

An R&D Laboratory for paints and coatings was established within the R&D Center in 1998.

2001（平成13）年には、部品重量を従来比30～60％軽量化した革新的な超軽量防音システム部品「リエタ・ウルトラライト」の製品化に成功

In 2001, Nittoku succeeded in commercializing an innovative lightweight noise-control system under the brand name RIETER ULTRA LIGHT TM.

2002年11月に6工場すべてにおいて取得を完了

2003年には中国の広州に日特固（広州）防音配件有限公司を設立

2004年には天津に天津日特固防音配件有限公司を合弁で設立

2005年にはタイに2番目の合弁会社としてサミット・リエタ・ニットク・サウンドプルーフ社を設立

2008年、チェンナイにリエタ・ニットク・オートモーティブ・サウンドプルーフ・プロダクツ・インド社を設立

2010年に操業を開始

2012年にはインドネシアにタフィンド・ニットク・オートニウム社を設立

2013年にはメキシコでの日系カーメーカーの積極的な現地生産に伴い、UGNメキシコ工場が11月より稼動を開始する予定です
