Maruichi Leavitt Pipe & Tube, LLC

Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Osaka, Japan, the Maruichi Steel Tube Group is a world-wide leader in the production of steel tubular products.

Leavitt Tube and Metal Company founded and incorporated by Dave Leavitt and Myro Leavitt

Leavitt Tube began manufacturing mechanical steel tube with one slitter and two tube mills. Over the next 25 years, Leavitt would expand with the introduction of two structural tube mills capable of production up to 4\" x 4\" x .250\" wall.

W 80 Mill Commissioned

The W 80 mill was added to Leavitt Tube's growing steel tubular products list. The mill is capable of producing HSS up to 10\" x 10\" x .500\" wall, equivalent rectangles and rounds up to 12.75\".

Maruichi Steel Tube Acquires Leavitt Tube

In 2008, Maruichi Steel Tube, headquartered in Osaka, Japan acquired Leavitt Tube and expanded their global footprint. Since the acquisition, more than $84 million dollars has been invested in new mills, products and equipment all in a responsible manner. This includes standard pipe, automotive tube, testing equipment, mill and an investment in our tube people.

New Mechanical Mill Added

In 2018, a brand new #7 mechanical tube mill was brought online. Replacing two legacy mills, the #7 mill rolls .75\" sq up through 1.5\" sq and corresponding rectangles, along with .84\" up through 1.66\".
