沿革
In 1976, the government acquired 49%, and it was fully nationalized in 1983. In 1987, 60% was sold to private sector and employees. In 1997, Commonwealth Development Corporation acquired 72.8%. In 2004, WRB Enterprises and the Dominican Social Security Agency jointly acquired it. In 2013, Emera's Light and Power Holdings became the largest shareholder.
