The agreement allows Hyde Marine to sell rapid compliance tools with its Hyde GUARDIAN Gold® Ballast Water Treatment Systems, helping shipowners verify compliance with ballast water treatment standards and demonstrate it to Port State Control officers.
Hyde Marine welcomed the ratification of the 2004 IMO Ballast Water Convention, which will bring regulations aimed at protecting oceans from invasive species into force. The release says approximately 64,000 ships could be required to comply with ballast water regulations over the next five to seven years.
