Established in 1973, PENFABRIC is the single largest, advanced textile manufacturer in the region, undertaking weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing operations.

In 2015, PENFABRIC launched Digital Manufacturing System (DMS) for weaving production.

In 2016, PENFABRIC opened MOM Room.

In 2016, PENFABRIC undertook automation projects including Grey Roll Stocker and Warping & Sizing Beam Stocker.

In 2017, PENFABRIC started to use Green Energy Co-generation of Electricity and Steam.

In 2017, PENFABRIC held a ceremony for the opening of a new QC Laboratory.

In 2018, PENFABRIC implemented a Life Cycle Perspective of wastewater sludge.

In 2018, PENFABRIC developed products using recycled resources such as PET bottles.

In 2019, PENFABRIC was certified as Penang Green Office.

In 2019, PENFABRIC received certification with Recycled Claim Standard (RCS).

In 2020, PENFABRIC started to operate Caustic Recovery Plant and installed Solar Panels at the car park for green solar energy.

In 2020, PENFABRIC implemented material movement control by RFID system.

In 2021, PENFABRIC installed solar panels, achieving a 6.6% reduction in total electricity consumption.

In 2021, PENFABRIC started to operate a Steam Turbine Generator in the boiler.

In 2023, PENFABRIC phased out C6 to C0 chemicals due to hazardous effects.

In 2023, PENFABRIC launched fluorine-free finishes, ECO Release & ECO Shield.

In 2024, PENFABRIC launched EVOTRUTH® items.
