The Production Headquarters Nizuka Manufacturing Department was established as Tonami Paper Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in August of Showa 30 (1955).

In the following year, a factory was built on the Shogawa Riverbank in Nizuka, Takaoka City, as an applicable factory under Takaoka City’s factory誘致条例 (factory誘致 ordinance).

In January of Showa 59 (1984), our company merged with Tonami Paper Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and was re-established as the Nizuka Factory of Chuo Pulp Industry Co., Ltd.

In March of Showa 63 (1988), to meet the rapidly advancing needs for offset and color printing of newsprint, and to ensure stable supply, the latest No. 3 paper machine was completed, and to enhance energy and raw material aspects, boilers, turbines, and a 3-line DIP facility were added.

In Heisei 12 (2000), we obtained ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for environmental management systems, actively promoting energy saving and environmental conservation activities.

The 'New Energy Boiler,' a project for energy use rationalization, started operation in Heisei 18 (2006). This facility's operation has advanced the substitution of fossil fuels with waste-derived fuels, improving CO2 emission units and reducing fossil fuel consumption.
