1870 創業は明治4年。風光明媚な瀬戸内海に面した竹原の地で蔵を興したのが始まり。廣島屋の屋号で創業。
1909 第2回全国品評会2等。
1927 4代目 清磨（きよま）、坂口謹一郎先生師事し酵母研究。
1940 独自のリンゴ酵母の開発（4代目 清磨）。
1947 高温糖化酒母法の開発（4代目 清磨）。
1948 全国品評会1位受賞。
1949 全国品評会3位受賞 皇室新年御用酒を献上（3年間）。
1955 高温糖化酒母に日本醸友会、第1回技術功労賞受賞。
1962 樽酒を瓶に詰めて販売（業界初）。
1971 創業100周年。
1972 ワインの試験醸造を始める。
1974 「幻」という名でリンゴ酵母の皇室献上酒発売。
1999 誠鏡 限定酒の会（頒布会）発売。

2009 幻黒箱、ANA欧米線ファーストクラスに採用。幻黒箱、プーチン首相の晩餐に採用。
2010 幻黒箱、全米日本酒歓評会、大吟醸部門でベスト3。
2014 当社初、瓶内二次発酵「誠鏡 純米スパークリング」発売。
2020 新型コロナウイルス感染拡大に伴い、消毒用アルコール「誠鏡 アルコール75」発売。
2021 全国新酒鑑評会で金賞受賞。
2022 全国新酒鑑評会で金賞受賞。
2025-07 7月　6代目蔵元 中尾強志の急逝に伴い、中尾ひろみが代表取締役に就任。
