1937 1937年 : 長宗泰造が文京区目白台に厚徳書院を創業
1937 国土社は昭和12年厚徳書院として創業しました。
1947 1947年 : 社名を国土社に変更 : 雑誌「國土」創刊 : 教育書や児童書の刊行が主になっていく
1948 その後社名を国土社と改め、昭和23年より、雑誌「数学教室」「月刊社会教育」等の民間教育団体編集により編集雑誌を発行し、あわせて、児童図書・教育図書の刊行を開始、現在に至っています。
