Takato Industries Co., Ltd.

Founded in May 1948 in Totsuka Ward, Yokohama City.

Inheriting part of the facilities of Japan Optical Industry Co., Ltd. Totsuka Third Factory, established as "Takato Industry Co., Ltd." with capital of 400,000 yen, focusing on manufacturing and sales of optical machinery and equipment. From the early days of the company's founding to today, it has been dedicated to manufacturing as a specialized factory for binoculars for major optical equipment manufacturers. Therefore, the factory's organization has established an integrated production system including a machine factory, finishing workshop, plating factory, painting factory, lens polishing factory, assembly workshop, and adjustment workshop.

With the increase in production volume, improved production equipment, and rationalized management and technological advancement, received the "Small and Medium Enterprise Commissioner’s Award".

Designed and manufactured projection devices for assembly work, receiving the "Yokohama Mayor’s Award" and the "Yokohama Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman’s Award".

Designed and manufactured vacuum heat high-temperature micro-hardness testers under the guidance of Kanagawa Industrial Testing Institute, obtained load conversion methods in PAT274958 high-temperature vacuum micro-hardness measurement and PAT282841 high-temperature micro-hardness testing machine, greatly contributing to the developing industry, and received the "Science and Technology Agency Director’s Award".

In conjunction with the construction of the Tokaido Shinkansen, jointly designed and manufactured tunnel cross-section measuring machines with the Railway Technical Research Institute, recognized for high accuracy and measurement speed, used for tunnel cross-section measurement throughout Japan, and demonstrated power in the construction of the Seikan Tunnel. Also supplied to the Japan Highway Public Corporation.

Established in November 1974 in Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture.

Established Kitakata Factory in Kitakata City, Fukushima Prefecture, planning as an integrated mass production factory.

Due to the land readjustment project in Kitakata City, abolished the dedicated precision machinery factory on the adjacent site. Established a dedicated precision machinery factory and exterior factory within the new area. The exterior factory was newly equipped with magnesium anodizing facilities and matte finish anion electrocoating facilities.

Kitakata office renovation, third precision machine expansion, introduction of gantry five-face machining center.

Added two 5-sided machining centers with 32 pallets.

Extended the third precision machinery factory and added a gantry five-sided machining center MCR-A.
