History
On December 22, 1965, the National Telecommunications Company (ENTEL) was founded as a state entity to develop telecommunications in Bolivia.
On May 1, 2008, through Supreme Decree No. 29544, the Bolivian government nationalized ENTEL by acquiring approximately 97% of the shares held by Telecom Italia (formerly STET).
