Toshio Sakai founded Sakai Ironworks in Hizumi, Kashiwazaki, and began manufacturing automotive parts and other products.

Founded on July 1, 1938.

Moved to Sakuragi-cho, Kashiwazaki, to expand the business.

Relocated to Tazuka, Kashiwazaki, following development of the Kashiwazaki Machinery and Metal Industrial Park; installed medium and large machine tools.

A new factory began operations in the Kashiwazaki Machinery and Metal Industrial Park, equipped for grinding.
