History
Founded in December 1989 as Hungarian Telecommunications Company, became a public corporation in 1991, and renamed Magyar Telekom in May 2005. Deutsche Telekom holds a 61.39% stake. Provides fixed and mobile communications, broadband, and digital TV under the 'T' brand. CEO Tibor Rékasi (appointed July 2018).
