History
Incorporated as the first insurer in Malta to offer general insurance. In 1994 it became the first local insurer listed on the Malta Stock Exchange. Spain’s MAPFRE acquired a majority stake in 2011, and the company was renamed Mapfre Middlesea in 2015.
