History
Poste San Marino traces its origin to a 1607 postal decree and has operated as a multi-service joint-stock company (S.p.A.), wholly owned by the Republic of San Marino, since it was established in August 2015 and became operational in January 2016. Its Philatelic and Numismatic Division (formerly the autonomous state enterprise AASFN, established 1981) designs and sells the Republic's postage stamps and coins.
