History
Yemenia received its airline licence on 4 August 1962, becoming the flag carrier of Yemen.
In 1996 Yemenia merged with South Yemen's airline Alyemda after Yemeni unification.
In 2015 Yemenia was forced to suspend operations because of the military conflict and airspace restrictions.
