The limited-edition salt sable cookies for the shrine's removal and rebuilding ceremony are a product of Itokawaya Confectionery. Care is taken in selecting the ingredients and baking them.

On January 12, 2023, Itokawaya Confectionery received a certificate for the JFS-B Standard, a standard developed and operated by the Food Safety Management Association to certify food safety management practices and intended for food processing, food manufacturing, food additive, and chemical manufacturing businesses.

The Yoshikuma Shimbun reported that NPO Asoboraitsu's Kumanokko After-School Club and Itokawaya Confectionery held a signing ceremony for a child-rearing support agreement. The agreement resulted in the company covering part of the after-school care fees.

The Kinan Shimbun featured an outreach lesson held at Wakayama Prefectural Shinsho High School.

The Yoshikuma Shimbun reported that students taking the third-year elective course "Regional Creation Studies" and members of the JRC club at the Kinan campus of Kumano Seiran Prefectural High School completed and began selling an original Japanese confection called "Bonds of White" through the "Kishu Dog Circle Project."

The company was featured for working with five second-year students at Kumano Seiran High School's Kinan campus to develop emergency food in preparation for disasters such as a Nankai Trough earthquake. They made a prototype of "Osatsu no Sonae," an emergency-food cracker made with nutritious ingredients such as sweet potatoes, and aim to sell it at the prefectural High School Industrial Education Fair in October.
