The company's representative, Kazuko Hoshino, was born in Tokyo. After leaving the Nichigeki Dancing Team upon getting married, she moved to Okayama. She became a topic of conversation after appearing as an advertising model for the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank at the time (now Mizuho Bank). The Rotary Club, Lions Club, and other organizations in Okayama then asked her to provide guest speakers and talent. She established the personal agency Office Hoshino to introduce well-known people she had met while with Nichigeki.
Lin Lin and Lan Lan, famous for their hit song “Koi no Indian Ningyo,” came to Okayama from Hong Kong and stayed at the current chairman's home for about two months, where they studied dance, Japanese, and other subjects. After being introduced to Sun Music, they went on to become star talents.
The Kazuko Hoshino Jazz Dance Studio began operating. Kazuko Hoshino started jazz dance classes with seven or eight students. Around the same time, jazz dance became known nationwide and suddenly became a trend. The huge success of the film Flashdance also contributed to the growth, and within two years, enrollment in jazz dance alone exceeded 800 students.

Operation began for School Mates (now To-on Actors), part of Watanabe Production's Tokyo Music Academy Group. When Office Hoshino incorporated, it absorbed the Kazuko Hoshino Jazz Dance Studio. The launch of School Mates, part of Watanabe Production's Tokyo Music Academy, following a business partnership formed that year, also marked the company's expansion beyond dance classes into operations outside Okayama Prefecture.

Obtained approval from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare (approval number 33-Yu-10030). The company obtained a license for a fee-charging employment placement business, required for handling payments such as performance fees as a business, and continues to hold it today.

The 36th Office Hoshino Joint Performance will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Harenowa Grand Theater of Okayama Arts and Creative Theater. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., the performance starts at 4:00 p.m., and the scheduled end time is 7:00 p.m. Students of a wide range of ages will present jazz dance, kids dance, creative dance, freestyle, and more. General admission is 2,500 yen (3,000 yen on the day), and reserved seats are sold out.
At Hoshino & Amane Dance Studio, the JAZZHIPHOP class will start in May. It runs every Friday from 19:30 to 20:45, and is open to high school students and above. No gender or experience requirements. The fee is 1,500 yen per lesson, with a 5,000 yen enrollment fee. The instructor is NOA.
In 2026, the Takarazuka Music School announced admissions, and two students from Office Hoshino Studio were accepted into the 114th cohort.
Starting from Sunday, January 11, Kids Dance Class 2 will begin at Hoshino & Amane Dance Studio. The 3-6 year old class runs from 16:00 to 16:50, and the elementary school class from 17:20 to 18:20, with Kanon serving as instructor. The enrollment fee is 5,000 yen, each lesson costs 1,500 yen, and the first trial lesson is free.
On September 14, Kanjou Kids performed at the Kita Fureai Center Festival, holding a dance show in the 5th-floor Mascot Hall. The show was enjoyable, accompanied by warm applause from many customers.
