1964-09 出光石油化学（以下、出光石化という）は、出光興産の子会社として1964年9月に設立された。
1981 1981年から開発に着手していた水冷法による高透明PPシート「ピュアレイ™」の製造も開始することになった。
1983-12 1983年12月に工場が完成し、その翌月に出光石化100％出資のプラスチック包装資材の製造会社「ユニ化工株式会社」とした。
1985 1985年春に青柳実験工場はフル稼働状態になり、設備の増設が必要となった。

2014 2014年土砂災害警戒区域に指定されたため、静岡工場の増改築が難しくなった。
