REALITY XR cloud was commissioned to produce and operate the Virtual Osaka Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. It will provide exhibition experiences aligned with the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion’s theme and share a vision of Osaka’s future with young people worldwide.
REALITY Spaces, REALITY XR cloud’s metaverse platform, has been adopted for classes and seminars in Meisei University’s Faculty of Humanities. Students are expected to develop 21st-century skills and social relationship-building abilities through lectures and interaction in virtual spaces.
REALITY XR cloud CEO Kazuya Haruyama will speak on Thursday, April 25, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. in East Hall 7 at Tokyo Big Sight. His presentation, “The Metaverse Is No Utopia: Practical Applications for Companies and Local Governments,” will share pragmatic ways to use the metaverse amid disillusionment with the technology. Yamaguchi Prefectural University will pilot REALITY Spaces, the metaverse platform provided by REALITY XR Cloud, for lectures, seminars, and open campus events. Ahead of establishing a new department, the initiative aims to broaden students' perspectives on problem solving and offer immersive learning. The company plans to promote adoption at other educational institutions.
REALITY XR Cloud and Sanrio will open SANRIO Virtual Festival in REALITY for a limited time from February 21 through March 20, 2024. Using REALITY's world feature, the venue will serve as an entrance to Sanrio Vfes, and is expected to welcome many users as the 2023 event did.
REALITY XR Cloud has opened the limited-time Music Fest World feat. MEIWA in the smartphone metaverse REALITY, as part of the Meiwa Digital Project promoted by Mie Prefecture's Meiwa Town and AVITA Inc. The venue showcases the town and its local products through videos and panels. Visitors can enjoy a lucky draw themed around rice, an experience featuring ink-art works, and a climbable tower of hijiki rice balls.
REALITY XR Cloud and NEC will open Setoda Tour Metaverse World for a limited time in the smartphone metaverse REALITY from January 31 through March 31, 2024. It recreates tourist destinations in Onomichi, Hiroshima, and includes photo booths where users can pose against local scenery. Visitors need the REALITY app and a free account.
REALITY XR Cloud will exhibit its metaverse solutions, including REALITY Worlds and REALITY Spaces, at the 8th Japan IT Week Kansai at INTEX Osaka from January 17 to 19, 2024. On January 19, company president Haruyama will give a special presentation on practical metaverse applications for companies and local governments.
REALITY XR Cloud Inc. and the JR West Group announced Virtual Osaka Station 3.0, planned for launch in the REALITY app. The project was featured in the December 25, 2023 issue of Kotsu Shimbun. Virtual Osaka Station 3.0 is drawing attention as a place for encounters with diverse visitors beyond the real Osaka Station.
