New regulations to reduce the sulfur content of marine fuel were enforced in Europe and California. We developed and released brand new models of burner especially designed for Low-Sulphur Diesel Oil (LSDO) as well as Heavy Fuel Oil, which were installed on large number of vessels in service. Research and development project of "Super Clean Marine Diesel", sponsored by the Nippon Foundation, was launched to deal with the IMO third NOx regulation (Reduce NOx by 80% of the current level) for marine diesel engine. Delivered newly designed Exhaust Gas Heater, ordered by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, as the part of NOx reduction system with utilizing SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) method for this project. |
