Founded with the assistance of former Mitsubishi Corporation employees and Chiyoda Bank (now Mitsubishi UFJ Bank), with a capital of 2.5 million yen, primarily dealing in food, metals, miscellaneous goods, and materials.

Merged with Sanno Kogyo Co., Ltd., which had been established by former Mitsubishi Corporation employees in the timber and machinery departments, and increased capital to 100 million yen.

Establishment of New East Asia Trading Company in the United States

Capital doubled to 200 million yen, with Mitsubishi-affiliated companies holding the majority of shares.

Capital increased to 500 million yen, after which the company established a solid position as a Mitsubishi-affiliated general trading company in both import/export and domestic transactions.

Establishment of New East Asia Trading Company in the United Kingdom

Following the transfer of shares from Mitsubishi-affiliated companies to Kanematsu Corporation, the company became part of the Kanematsu Group.

Kanematsu Corporation's ownership stake became 100%.

Acquired all shares of Kouei Industries Co., Ltd. and KS Links Co., Ltd.

Acquired all shares of Kouei Industries Co., Ltd., making the company and its subsidiary KS Links Co., Ltd. part of the group.
