Engineered Sintered Components Company

Engineered Sintered Components Company (ESC) was established in 1989 as a manufacturing and sales base for sintered products in the North American region, and this year marks its 27th anniversary of founding. It primarily supplies a wide range of sintered components for automotive engines and transmissions to customers.

In 2002, to respond to the increasing number of products with machining processes such as VVT components (Variable Valve Timing mechanisms), a joint venture was established with Akita Aoki Kogyo Co., Ltd., a machining specialist, thereby adapting to changing demand trends and continuing to develop and grow.

In 2015, a sister company, SEMX, was established in Mexico, and moving forward, we will support SEMX as a mother plant while working to enhance the presence of the Sumitomo Electric Group in North and Central America.
