1950 The factory employed about 300 people in Havant, in south of England.
1970 The factory located in St Martin de Crau started production.

1994 SPCUK quickly captured the UK domestic appliance market by becoming a major supplier of glass and mineral filled PP compounds to Hotpoint and Hoover, making SPCUK a pioneer in this sector of the market.
2007 Integration of English and French plants into Sumika network by joint-venture of Sumitomo Chemical, Toyo Ink and Itochu Corporation. Full redemption of all shares by Sumitomo Chemical Group in 2023.
2012 THERMOFIL HP® benefits from leading-edge technology in compounding thanks to Sumika’s unique breakthrough.
2014 New location due to an SPC Europe initiative.
2019 Sumika Polymer Compounds Europe announces the acquisition of the Turkish group Emaş in June 2019.
2022 Establishment of SPC Poland. Factory dedicated to the production of thermoplastic located in Poznań.
