E.S. Boulos Company led the Three Corners Solar Farm to completion in October 2024 as the EPC contractor. The nearly 900-acre project is Maine’s largest solar project to date, and its electrical scope included installing 880,000 feet of DC feeder cable and 21 miles of 35kV medium-voltage feeders.
E.S. Boulos (ESB), a subsidiary of MYR Group, was selected as the electrical contractor to build new DC switchyards and upgrade multiple Maine substations, enabling power flow from the New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC). The upgrades and construction of two new substations in remote areas were required before NECEC could deliver clean hydropower from Canada to New England in January 2026. These efforts marked a significant step forward for the region’s clean energy future.
E.S. Boulos held its 5th Annual Charity Golf Scramble on August 4, 2025, at Falmouth Country Club in Maine, benefiting the Heart of Hope Charitable Fund. The event raised more than $50,000 to help support people battling breast cancer and ease their financial burdens.
NECA recognized E.S. Boulos’s Westbrook and Auburn districts with 2025 Safety Excellence and Zero Injury Awards. The recognition came in a record-breaking year for the MYR Group network, honoring the company’s commitment to safety.
For more than 80 years, E.S. Boulos Company and MaineHealth Maine Medical Center have worked together in a relationship built on collaboration and trust. Backed by MYR Group’s national resources, E.S. Boulos provides the Portland medical facility with electrical and telecommunications services focused on precision, efficiency, and safety. The two organizations completed their latest project in May 2024.
E.S. Boulos has completed EPC work on three battery energy storage sites in New England, which will provide up to 30 megawatts of clean hydropower storage. The news release notes that U.S. battery storage installations are growing and that Wood Mackenzie analysts anticipate annual installations will exceed 20 GW by 2030.
