岐阜車体工業株式会社

岐阜車体工業株式会社を設立。

トヨタKB型トラック（4トン）の生産を開始

鉄工業を営む星野商店と、自動車の荷台製造などを手がける野尻自動車工場および川島ボデー製作所が結びつき、新たに「岐阜車体工業」を設立。取締役社長に星野鍵太郎が就任し、トヨタ軍用トラックボデーの生産を開始します。スタート時の従業員数は役員も含め23名でした。

Gifu Auto Body Co., Ltd was established. Kagitaro Hoshino assumed office as Representative Director and President.

With the end of the war, began production of regular Toyota truck bodies. A labor union was formed.

SB型小型トラックボデー生産開始

終戦を機に戦時色の払拭がみられる中、トヨタはKB型トラックをモデルチェンジしたBM型トラックを発表。さらにSB型小型トラックを発表し、当社はそのボデー生産を請け負うことになります。そして需要に対応するため、着々と生産設備の充実を図っていきました。

トヨタ自工にプレス部品の納入を開始

当社系列会社のプレス技術が認められ、トヨタ自動車工業に加工部品の納入を開始。また、この頃、小型トラックユーザーからボデーの多様性を求める声が高まり、SB型ピックアップボデーとライトバンボデー、貨客兼用車の生産を開始。結果として、これが後年の特殊車開発の端緒となりました。

須衛工場（シートトラック部品組立工場）竣工

高規格救急車ハイメディック生産開始

メガクルーザーで第30回東京モーターショーに挑戦

1993の東京モーターショーに参考出品したメガクルーザーの市販が決定。オフロード志向の一般ドライバーにも「和製ハマー」として人気を博し、当社はこの年1年間に約80台を生産しました。

2001年には車両部門の2直化をスタートさせます

Tetsuo Hoshino assumed office as Representative Director and Chairman, Tokio Kurita assumed office as Representative Director and President.

新賃金制度がスタート。2001年に会長職に就いた星野鉄夫自ら、旗振り役を務めた人事制度改革。「社員の自立を尊重し、発揮された能力や成果を正しく評価する中で会社も社員も強くたくましくなっていきたい」。そんな願いを“川の流れ”をになぞらえ、従来の年齢給を廃止し、業績能力給体系を導入したほか、退職金制度の全廃、中途採用の処遇変更、教育訓練の強化など、大胆な改革を断行しました。
